Our UKTR Statement

The UK Timber Regulation was implemented on 1st January 2021 and has been put in place to stop illegal timber entering the UK.

As a leading importer of timber from around the world, Finewood Marketing have implemented a robust Due Dilligence Systerm, which allows us to ensure that all the timber we import is legal.

We work closely with our Suppliers to gather all the relevant information regarding the supply chain and assess any risks there may be.

We also visit our Suppliers on a regular basis to carry out face to face Due Dilligence Risk Assessments. 

EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

In addition, we are preparing for the introduction of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Although implementation has been delayed, Finewood Marketing UK Limited is already aligning its systems with EUDR standards to ensure all our timber remains legal, sustainable and fully traceable. Demonstrating our ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing, transparency and trust throughout our supply chain.
